Lowrey Redmond joined DC Central Kitchen as Chief Operating Officer in August 2026, bringing more than two decades of experience leading operations, growth, and organizational strategy for mission-driven organizations. A longtime Washington, DC resident and DC Central Kitchen volunteer, Lowrey brings both a personal connection to the Kitchen’s mission and a career spent helping organizations build the teams, systems, and infrastructure needed to translate ambitious missions into impact.
Before joining DC Central Kitchen, Lowrey held senior leadership roles with Action Against Hunger, Georgetown University’s Center for Global Health Practice and Impact, Malaria No More, and Abt Associates. Her work has spanned operations, organizational strategy, fundraising and partnerships, and public health programs in the United States and around the world.
Lowrey began her career as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Senegal. She holds a B.A. from Lafayette College and a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs.
