Our social enterprise cafes serve more than just a good cup of coffee or a quick, fresh lunch on the go. They’re training grounds for our Culinary Job Training students, intentionally welcoming spaces for all members of our community, and engines of full-time, living-wage job opportunities with full benefits. All proceeds from our cafe sales go back into our programming, so when we say that every purchase changes lives, we mean it!
This month marks the 2nd anniversary of Marianne’s by DC Central Kitchen at the MLK Public Library and our first anniversary at the Klein Center for Jobs & Justice. To recognize the community that has supported our expansion to three cafe locations citywide and the tireless front-line DCCK staff who work so hard to serve our city, we’re throwing a party!
Please join us on Thursday, March 28th anytime before 3pm as we celebrate our 2nd annual DC Central Kitchen Cafe Day!
We’ll have free pastry samples from opening until 10am. From 11am until 3pm, all combo meals come with your choice of free sweet treat or piece of fruit. The first 50 guests at each location will receive a coupon for a free small coffee to use at a future visit!
