We’re thrilled to share a great news story about one of our newest food security solutions. For almost 2 years, DC Central Kitchen and DoorDash have been teaming up to support food-insecure seniors in our community. Our program provides eligible older adults with seven healthy, scratch-cooked, home-delivered meals each week that are delivered with care, and at deep discounts, by DoorDash. Thanks to a recent grant from Craig Newmark Philanthropies, we will be growing the reach of this program by nearly 50% next month!
