A PRIDE-full Weekend

We’re full of pride: Pride for inclusivity. Pride for dignity. Pride for community.

These are tenets to our work all year round, but we were especially proud to be part of this past weekend’s Capital Pride festivities. On Saturday, our staff and students walked the Parade route, handing out LOVE stickers & waving at the smiling faces along 14^th Street and Rhode Island while our Community Development & Partnerships and Healthy School Food teams engaged families in the Pride Family Zone with a hands-on demonstration of our delicious Rainbow Pride Salad. We loved seeing some new and some familiar faces along Pennsylvania Avenue on Sunday during the Festival where we passed out more than 1500 water bottles and resources in the hot summer sun!
