On Friday, May 6th, Culinary Job Training Class 129 was treated to a demo by Chef Steve Lipscombe, Executive Chef at City Cruises DC and a coffee tasting lesson by Dani Moreno, coffee director at Aslin Coffee.
The seventeen students worked together to prepare a delicious ceviche and baked salmon dish led by Chef Lipscombe who gave the students tips and recipe ideas on on cooking fresh fish.
After feasting on their creation, Dani Moreno stopped by to teach the students about refining their palette using coffee! This tasting lesson gave the students insight on flavor balancing when it comes to creating their own recipes.
