Photos: A Taste of Colombian Cooking

CJT Class 126 celebrated Heritage Day yesterday, Thursday October 28, with a visit from Guest Chef, Andrés-Julian Zuluaga of Blend 111 restaurant. Class 126 is sponsored by the J. Willard and Alice S. Marriott Foundation and Marriott International, the 13th class they’ve sponsored since 2008.

Chef Andrés led the students through a Colombian arepas and sofrito recipe, teaching new cooking techniques while quizzing the students on culinary theory. We look forward to seeing Chef Andrés again as a judge at at our students’ cook-off competition in November, along with the rest of our expert guest judges!
